Join the Pit Crew

Be part of the team behind the scenes.

Tiffany Harrell Motorsports is a community-powered race team built with family, friends, and people who simply want to be part of something special.

If you’ve ever wanted to experience race day from inside the pit, learn how a grassroots race team operates, or contribute your skills to a growing team — you’re welcome here.

What Race Days Feel Like

Race days are long — but they’re also fun, energetic, and unforgettable.

Being part of the pit crew often feels more like a family reunion than a job:

  • Music playing throughout the day

  • Kids running around and exploring the track

  • Hanging out between practice sessions

  • Watching race cars up close, not from the stands

  • Taking photos, making memories, and being part of something real

And yes — you also get to say you’re on a race pit crew.

The Commitment

Pit crew roles are volunteer positions and require consistency throughout the season. While life happens, we ask that team members be available for most race days so everyone stays in sync.

Here’s what that looks like:

  • Approximately 8–10 race days per season

  • Race days can last up to 10 hours, with breaks and downtime

  • Roughly 80 total hours spread across April–October

When broken up over the season, it averages out to just a few hours a month — but those hours matter.

What to Expect
Cost-Wise

Grassroots racing comes with real expenses, and we believe in being upfront about them.

Pit crew members should expect:

  • Annual pit license: $100–$150

  • Pit entry per race: approximately $25

  • Team shirt (required on race days): around $20

  • Personal food costs unless the team provides meals that day

We understand this isn’t possible for everyone — and that’s okay. Transparency helps everyone make the right decision.

Representing the Team

Pit crew members wear team shirts on race days to present a unified, professional look and make it easy for officials and fans to identify the team.

Shirt options include:

  • Short sleeve

  • Long sleeve

  • Tank tops (weather dependent)

Team shirts are available through the team shop.

Safety & Respect

The race track is a busy, high-energy environment. We take safety and respectful conduct seriously and expect the same from everyone representing the team.

We look out for each other — on and off the track.

How You Can Help

You don’t need racing experience — just commitment and a willingness to learn.

We’re especially looking for people who:

  • Are reliable and don’t need micromanaging

  • Communicate clearly and follow through

  • Can attend most races throughout the season

Skills that are especially helpful:

  • Photography & videography (camera or phone)

  • Social media and content support

  • GoPro management (charging batteries, uploading footage)

  • Marketing, PR, and community engagement

  • Mechanically inclined individuals interested in learning more about race cars

Every skill helps the team move forward.

Community Events & Outreach

Outside of race days, the team participates in community events throughout the season.

Support is especially needed for:

  • Event setup and breakdown

  • Assisting with photos and videos

  • Helping with autographs and fan interactions

  • Being an extra set of hands

These events help grow awareness, relationships, and support for the team.
